Tea & coffee vending machine now running at DU's IASDS, powered by Aloron Projukti

A QR-pay tea and coffee vending machine is now serving students, faculty and staff on the 4th floor of the Institute of Applied Statistics and Data Science (IASDS), University of Dhaka.

The Institute of Applied Statistics and Data Science (IASDS) at the University of Dhaka now has a tea and coffee vending machine on its 4th floor, available to students, faculty and staff.
Users scan a QR code, choose a drink and pay. The machine then dispenses the drink with a cup, with no staff needed at the counter. Masala Tea costs BDT 10 and Coffee costs BDT 20.
The machine opened on the first day of classes under the newly renamed institute, with opening-day discounts of up to 100%. Buyers found a discount code on their cup that they could use on a later purchase.
Aloron Projukti, a Dhaka-based technology company working in IoT, industrial automation and software, supplies the machine and handles its central monitoring, maintenance and day-to-day operation.
IASDS has asked everyone to put used cups in the bin and help keep the institute clean.
